Pediatric Gastroenterology Faculty Opportunity
Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, children’s hospital, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
- Join our Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at Baystate Children’s Hospital (BCH) in Springfield MA. BCH is a 107-bed facility which includes the region’s only PICU & Level III NICU, pediatric inpatient services and a pediatric ED. Our pediatric outpatient specialty center offers 15 subspecialty clinics.
- The Division of Pediatric GI is a well-established division that includes 3 physicians, experienced nurses, MAs, a social worker, and pharmaceutical liaisons. We are seeking a fourth physician to meet existing volume and expand services. Current volume is 4,000+ annual visits.
- Practice general GI with a very diverse patient population. We have strong volume for IBD, EoE, celiac, and TPN and we also have a specialized G-Tube clinic. State-of-the-art pediatric procedure unit and endoscopy equipment. Excellent relationship with Adult GI team.
- Serve as a clinical educator for our pediatric residents and medical students. Faculty appointment to UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate.
- Qualifications: ABMS BE/BC Pediatric Gastroenterology. Strong endoscopy skills. Excellent mentorship available for those early in their careers.
- Our compensation package consists of a base salary of between $255,000- $365,000 (based on 1.0 FTE, experience level and qualifications) and annual incentive bonus opportunities.
