Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Perioperative Circulator for the Pediatric OR, requiring at least one year of acute operating room experience and an active compact or Oklahoma RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is for a Pediatric Operating Room in a hospital setting
- Works as a circulator for pediatric surgical patients
- Day shifts from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care for pediatric patients during operative or invasive procedures
- Accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all care delivered in the perioperative environment
- Must individualize patient care based on health status, age, and procedure type
- Expected to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Scrub attire required in accordance with hospital policy
Requirements
- Active RN license from Oklahoma or a compact state (eNLC)
- Minimum one year of recent experience in an acute operating room environment
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Excellent understanding of AORN Standards and perioperative nursing procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care in a perioperative setting
