Hackensack Meridian Health is currently seeking a Pediatric Residency Program Director to oversee and elevate our established residency program at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital in Neptune, NJ. Designed for the physician-educator who wants to maintain their clinical edge, this full-time opportunity features a perfectly balanced 50/50 split between academic/administrative leadership and clinical practice. Reporting directly to the Chair of Pediatrics, the incoming Director will receive comprehensive benefits, dedicated administrative time, and the institutional support needed to train the next generation of pediatricians.
Responsibilities:
Mentorship & Education
- Teach, support, and evaluate residents as they progress through their clinical training.
- Serve as a career advisor, utilizing your knowledge of pediatric specialties to guide residents' future career paths.
- Develop innovative curriculum and lead engaging lectures and presentations.
Program Leadership & Strategy
- Ensure the program maintains the highest standards of compliance with ACGME and Residency Review Committee guidelines.
- Lead the annual recruitment and selection process to bring top-tier medical talent to our residency program.
Required Qualifications:
- Clinical Excellence: MD or DO degree with active Board Certification in Pediatrics.
- Educational Expertise: At least 3 years of dedicated experience as a core faculty member within an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program.
- Academic Drive: A demonstrated commitment to advancing pediatric medicine through ongoing contributions to peer-reviewed publications.
- Proven Leadership: A strong track record in a clinical or academic leadership role, with a passion for guiding teams and shaping programs.
- Licensure: Eligible to obtain (or currently holding) an active medical license in the state of New Jersey.
