Description: Children's Specialty Group (CSG) Sports Medicine Division and Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD) are pleased to announce an opportunity for a pediatric sports medicine physician to join our established and growing practice in beautiful southeastern Virginia. This position is based at Virginia's only freestanding children's hospital and offers the opportunity to work within a comprehensive, multidisciplinary pediatric sports medicine program. Our faculty hold appointments through Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) at Old Dominion University within the Department of Pediatrics and provide all pediatric sports medicine education for trainees. The program includes four sports medicine physicians, pediatric orthopedic surgeons, pediatric sports physical therapists, athletic trainers, exercise specialists, a sports dietitian, sports mental health providers, and access to the full spectrum of pediatric subspecialty services. In addition, we maintain a robust community outreach program that supports athletes and families throughout the region. Clinical and community coverage opportunities include three local school districts, two private schools, a large regional sports complex, the Governor's School for the Arts, local road races, and numerous club sports organizations.

Qualified candidates should have completed a pediatric residency and fellowship training in primary care sports medicine. Physicians with post-fellowship experience are preferred; however, all qualified applicants will be considered.
