Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma, academic children's hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of pediatric cardiac sonography experience.
Details
- Work in a pediatric cardiac sonography unit within a Level I Trauma, academic, short-term acute care children's hospital with 554 staffed beds
- Outpatient setting with 3 procedure rooms
- Required case types include crash cart procedures, scrubbing, and aseptic technique
- Charting is performed in Cerner
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- No weekend requirements
- No on-call requirements
- No floating outside of scope required
- Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric cardiac sonography experience required
- ARDMS or CCI certification required
- Current BLS required
- Pediatric cardiac sonography experience is required — general cardiac sonography experience alone is not sufficient
- COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with a completed exemption form signed by a provider for medical exemptions
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrub color is maroon/wine
- Parking is provided at no cost
- RTO requests exceeding 7 days require approval; all time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- A 6-month break is required for any traveler who has worked 4 consecutive assignments at this facility or reached the one-year mark, whichever comes first
- New contracts and extensions must be a minimum of 10 weeks
- Pending state license is accepted
